Mission Statement
The Guatemala Trip provides an intoxicating experience of service, humanity, spirituality and human values. It will spark a passion for new ideas, highlight service, create opportunities, embrace diversity, and celebrate life..
Unique Experiences
Guatemala has captivated its tourists for years. It is pristine and natural - the steep volcanoes and lush forests. It is a lost paradise - tiered pools and natural caves. It is visual - traditional Mayan weaving, picturesque ancient architecture, cobblestone streets and vestiges of days past. It is cultural and historical - ancient Mayan pyramids and temples and the traditions of ancient times. It is pure and simple - a meal with family, a chat with locals, the spirit of experience.
Trip Leader
The trip leader, Professor Daisy McCoy visited a number of indigenous communities in Guatemala. She designed this ecotourism trip to Guatemala, together with other ongoing projects, in the hopes to give indigenous communities increased opportunities and wishes for the future.
